Guest Profile: Andrew Overlee
Andrew was born in Denver, Colorado, the son of Vern and Edye Overlee. Vern, who communicated with spirit for most of his life, helped Andrew to be aware of his spirit family so they could teach him how to fulfill his written destiny as an instrument for healing energy. At the age of seven, Andrew experienced his first semi-trance healing. This began his development as a physical trance medium.
Mediumship is an inherent element of the spirit, and it enables the human thought pattern to interact and greet “entities of passings.” This process takes place when the soul of the medium and the soul of the entity being contacted come together by using the medium’s middle conscious. For this to happen, Andrew must allow his mind to become completely blank. At the same time, he must use his brain to calm the body to feel very light, where the breathing becomes shallow and the body feels a sense of freedom, almost like an out-of-body experience. In turn, this allows the entity coming through to use the body, mind, and brain in full protection, allowing no harm to come to the medium.
Mediumship, in any form, is not achieved in an “overnight finding.” It is an eternal work. It does not just last in the physical body; it lasts throughout eternity. Once this work has been granted, through choice and free will, one will obtain the ability to contact the ethereal world.
Andrew allows his family in spirit to speak through him, utilizing his voice and body. When in a deep trance state, spirit comes through using a different manner of speech, tone, and voice. His spirit family changes the molecular structure of Andrew’s thought patterns, which enables them to provide information from the ethereal world to the physical plane.
Since development of physical trance mediumship is a very extensive procedure, it requires many years to attain a full trance state. It has taken Andrew more than thirty-five years to accomplish the state of mind and pattern of thought to be at peace so spirit can work through him on a full-time basis.
Since a young child, Andrew has seen energies involving remarkable healing methods that have been used to help many people as well as spirit manifestations, colors, and visions. Andrew’s complete understanding of his spirit friends and the ethereal world is most extensive, and his common-sense approach to his mediumship involves peace and love, which are in compliance to his family in spirit.
As Andrew says, “There is no school or training course to become a full trance medium, as this is a part of one’s written destiny, a commitment to uphold the sanctity of life with one's spirit family. We all choose our destiny, our work in this physical life; and we choose the way in which to pursue our spiritual commitment. Whether we are aware of spirit or not, they are always contacting us through our intuition, helping and guiding us in our everyday lives. The only question is—Are we listening?”
In 1986, Andrew’s life became complete when he met his partner in life, his beloved wife, Tamara. Together, Andrew and Tamara hold very dear to their hearts this life’s work with their spirit family, who has chosen to work through them to help bring peace, love, and equality to all humankind
