Guest Profile: Emily Munday
Emily Munday is a consulting nutritionist, food scientist and Culinologist for CuliNex, LLC and Evergreen Culinary Solutions, LLC. She works with key clients developing bench top formulations, customer samples, and performing analytical laboratory testing.
Having worked in Seattle, Denver, and Palm Springs, CA, Emily brings over seven years of diverse foodservice industry experience in ranging from small, boutique hotel fine dining to high volume catering.
A native Seattleite, Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO. There she earned an Associate degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Nutrition, and was awarded Culinary Nutrition Student of the Year, 2010. In addition to her school work, she volunteered as a board member for Cooking Matters Colorado, a program of the national non-profit organization Share Our Strength, whose mission is to end childhood hunger through nutrition education.
In her spare time she writes a blog, The Salivating Seattleite, focused on sharing crisp photos and seasonal, original recipes from a Pacific Northwest perspective.
